Led by our experienced trainers, the HYROX class is inspired by the popular international fitness competition that pushes athletes to their limits. Whether you’re a seasoned fitness enthusiast or a newcomer looking to challenge yourself, this class is designed to accommodate participants of all fitness levels.
Each session consists of a series of timed, station-based workouts that will challenge your strength, power, agility, and cardiovascular fitness. Push your limits, break barriers, and achieve extraordinary results!
We encourage everyone to try these classes. There are no egos at VOLT gym, just a collective group of people all pushing towards their own personal fitness goals.

One thing we will say is, start getting comfortable with feeling uncomfortable in these classes!
This class is not only physically demanding but also mentally stimulating, as it requires focus, determination, and the will to push through challenges. But don’t worry, our trainers will provide guidance, motivation, and technique corrections to ensure that you perform each exercise with proper form and safety.

There is a range of equipment used in HYROX classes including: Rowers, SkiErgs, Sleds, Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Sandbags & Wall Balls.
You’ll tackle a variety of functional movements, such as rowing, burpees, sled pushes, farmers carries, sandbag lunges and many more, teamed with running sections. These exercises are strategically combined to target multiple muscle groups and keep your heart rate elevated throughout the class.
The unique format of HYROX class allows you to compete against yourself and others in a supportive and motivating atmosphere. You’ll have the opportunity to track your progress and set new personal records as you strive to improve your performance with each session.

The team at Volt are brilliant, always willing to help, knowledgeable and always have a smile on their faces.. Karla is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the classes… Providing great advice on form and technique! Oh and Karla provides 1:1 sessions… If you think you know it all.. Been going for a few month’s now, equipment is up to date. Staff are really friendly from the time you enter you always get a hello and how you been and even when leaving they are always hands on saying goodbye or ask how your work out was, to me this adds to the experience. It’s very busy in the evening but everyone who works out there are friendly and won’t hog the machines. Prices seems fair to me. 28.99 a month for 12 month’s is pretty competitive considering everything they have inside.
Love this gym. Always get a friendly greeting on each visit. What I really love, is its a gym where if you want to socialise, pair up with someone, you can. Or if you’re like me, and just want to crack on, you’re left alone. All staff are superb, friendly, and most importantly, respectful. They’ll always take time to show you how stuff works, or to help you get through some reps. The members vary from people that are super fit, to those like me that go to keep the extra pounds showing. It’s just a great gym.
My favourite gym in the north! Always a friendly welcome, fully stocked with the best Hammer Strength equipment and power lifting racks and the place is immaculately tidy always. Highly recommended.
